Wall Plank

HOW TO DO IT

A plank held against the wall with the hands at shoulder height. An easier version of the plank done standing.

Verbal Cues

  • “Stand a foot or so from the wall, hands on the wall at shoulder height”
  • “Make a straight line from head to heels”
  • “Squeeze your belly and glutes”

What to Watch For

  • Body in a straight line
  • Hips don’t sag or pike up

Safety

Avoid polished tiles, slippery floorboards, or loose rugs. The client should wear shoes with grip, not socks.
