Lying on the back with a foam roller placed across the mid-back, gently leaning back over it. Loosens the mid-back.

Verbal Cues

  • “Roller under your mid-back, knees bent, feet flat”
  • “Support your head with your hands”
  • “Lean back over the roller gently”

What to Watch For

  • Roller stays under the mid-back, not the lower back
  • Movement is small and slow
