HOW TO DO IT

Lying on the back with one knee bent and the other leg straight, lifting the straight leg off the floor. Strengthens the front of the thigh.

Verbal Cues

  • “Bend one knee, keep the other straight”
  • “Tighten the thigh, then lift the straight leg slowly”
  • “Lower with control”

What to Watch For

  • Knee on the lifting leg stays fully straight
  • Movement comes from the hip
