Seated Band Pull Apart

HOW TO DO IT

Seated, holding a band in front with both hands at shoulder height and pulling it apart wide. Strengthens the upper back muscles that support posture.

Verbal Cues

  • “Arms straight out in front, holding the band”
  • “Pull the band wide, squeezing your shoulder blades together”
  • “Slowly let it back in”

What to Watch For

  • Shoulders stay down, not shrugging
  • Movement starts from the shoulder blades
