A version of Cat Cow where the movement is focused in the lower back rather than the whole spine. Loosens a stiff lower back.

Verbal Cues

  • “Try to feel the movement low in your back”
  • “Small, slow movements through the lower back only”
  • “Keep the rest of your spine relaxed”

What to Watch For

  • Mid- and upper-back stay relatively still
  • Movement is concentrated in the lower back
