Holding a squat with the back flat against a wall and the feet about a step forward. Builds endurance through the thighs.

Verbal Cues

  • “Back flat against the wall, feet about a step forward”
  • “Slide down to a comfortable depth”
  • “Hold and breathe through it”

What to Watch For

  • Knees track over the feet
  • Client breathes steadily, not holding their breath

Safety

Avoid polished tiles, slippery floorboards, or loose rugs. The client should wear shoes with grip, not socks.
