Wall Push Up

HOW TO DO IT

A push up done against a wall instead of the floor. Strengthens the chest, shoulders, and arms.

Verbal Cues

  • “Hands flat on the wall, shoulder-width apart”
  • “Bend your elbows and bring your chest towards the wall”
  • “Push back strongly to the start”

What to Watch For

  • Body stays in a straight line
  • Elbows stay at roughly 45 degrees from the torso

Safety

Avoid polished tiles, slippery floorboards, or loose rugs. The client should wear shoes with grip, not socks.
