Seated, lifting the toes and front of the feet off the floor while the heels stay down. Strengthens the shins to help prevent shuffling and tripping.

Verbal Cues

  • “Heels stay on the floor”
  • “Lift your toes and feet up as high as you can”
  • “Lower with control”

What to Watch For

  • Heels stay firmly down
  • Whole foot lifts, not just the toes curling
