Seated Thoracic Rotations

HOW TO DO IT

Seated, slowly twisting the upper body to look over each shoulder while the hips stay forward. Loosens the mid back.

Verbal Cues

  • “Sit tall with feet planted”
  • “Rotate slowly to one side, then the other”
  • “The movement is through your mid-back”

What to Watch For

  • Hips and knees stay facing forward
  • Movement is through the torso, not pulling with the arms
