Seated, pressing the hands from the shoulders straight up overhead and lowering with control. Strengthens the shoulders and upper body.

Verbal Cues

  • “Hands by your shoulders to start”
  • “Press straight up overhead”
  • “Lower with control to the shoulders”

What to Watch For

  • Trunk stays upright
  • Range stays within a comfortable, controlled arc
