Seated, pulling a band back towards the chest and squeezing the shoulder blades together. Strengthens the upper back for posture and pulling tasks.

Verbal Cues

  • “Sit tall, arms forward”
  • “Pull your elbows straight back, squeeze the shoulder blades”
  • “Slow on the way back forward”

What to Watch For

  • Shoulders stay down
  • Trunk doesn’t lean back to assist the pull
