HOW TO DO IT

Seated, holding a band at the chest and pressing the hands straight out, resisting the pull of the band. Strengthens the side of the trunk and core.

Verbal Cues

  • “Hold the band at your chest, anchored to one side”
  • “Press your hands straight forward”
  • “Don’t let the band pull you sideways”

What to Watch For

  • Trunk stays facing forward throughout
  • Shoulders stay level

Safety

Anchor the band to a solid, fixed point that will not pull free.
