Seated, sliding one foot back under the chair to bend the knee and returning forward. Strengthens the back of the leg.

Verbal Cues

  • “Slide your foot back towards the chair”
  • “Squeeze your hamstring as you bend the knee”
  • “Slowly return forward”

What to Watch For

  • Movement from the knee, not the hip
  • Thigh stays on the chair
