Feet Together Balance

HOW TO DO IT

Standing tall with both feet pressed together and holding for the set time. Trains static balance with a narrow base of support.

Verbal Cues

  • “Bring your feet together so they’re touching”
  • “Stand tall and look straight ahead”
  • “Try to hold for the time set”

What to Watch For

  • Time the hold and note any swaying
  • Watch for knees buckling or stepping out of position

Safety

Stand close to the client on their weaker side. A sturdy bench, kitchen counter, or wall rail must be within arm’s reach, not a wheeled chair or anything that can slide. Make sure the floor is clear.
